CONTRAST
For this studio project, I wanted to capture the essence of contrasts through two distinct portraits, playing with light and color. The first portrait, in black and white, reveals a young woman with a gentle yet piercing gaze, delicately touching her face. The subtle lighting creates a timeless atmosphere. In contrast, the color portrait features a young man brimming with energy, making a joyful grimace. The vibrant and intense lighting illuminates his liveliness, capturing a moment of pure spontaneity and joy.

Using a Canon EOS R6 and a 50mm lens, I experimented with various lighting techniques to achieve the desired effects. The first portrait, the subtle lighting, achieved through a combination of overhead and frontal lighting, creates a soft atmosphere. And for the second portrait the vibrant and intense lighting from different angles enhances his spontaneity.
