EL TONY
For the El Tony Mate packshot project, we aimed to unveil the identity of Tony, the man featured on the mate cans. We chose this subject because we all love mate. El Tony Mate, a Swiss energizing and refreshing drink, is becoming an integral part of daily life in Switzerland. Its visual identity is very inspiring, combining a fun aspect with the promotion of the natural side of mate, which is cultivated in its country of origin, Argentina.
We conducted a detailed studio shoot using the Sony FS5 and Thibault’s FX30, paired with Samyang EF Prime lenses. Our lighting setup included Nanlite Pavo LED tubes, a Softbox Aputur 60 x 90 with Amaran 200W, and an LEDPanel Mini for soft, natural illumination. We used macro rings for detailed close-ups and ensured stability with a Sachtler FSB 6 tripod. Monitoring was done via the Atomos Shogun, allowing us to capture Tony's essence and the vibrant nature of El Tony Maté in a visually striking manner.
